It seems YouTube has been doing more harm than good for me. Mostly, there seems to be too much overwhelming amounts of information and videos for me to handle. Not only that, the algorithm seems to be a huge problem for me mostly because of irrevelant coming up to my feed even though I never did anything to trigger the algorithm to watch such videos. Anyways, I think I'm at the point where I'm really already looking for other websites both in Neocities and also independent websites than just staying in one website like YouTube. To be honest, I don't really have any interest in the centralized web and mainstream social media since they are quite restrictive and pretty limited. But, YouTube is the only centralized and super popular website that I seem to be going to a lot and I feel that it's pretty much making me more negative and feeding my misanthropy. By misanthropy, it's because of the YouTube comments section which I'm sure everyone knows is always a breeding ground for negativity. The moment I notice that negative and misanthropic thoughts skyrocketed, I knew it was time to pull the plug...
So, at this point on. I installed an extension on Firefox to block the YouTube website for good and I also deleted the YouTube on my phone. I did this recently by the way and I felt like things need to change. I don't really want to spend all my time on YouTube and not do other things such as researching on my special interests and doing my hobbies. And... I'm tired of the noise. Anyways, I'd probably might look for websites related to my interests and probably I might get an RSS feed from the websites so I can get the latest news on my special interests and hobbies. And, I'd probably to actually brainstorm for some ideas for my website besides the Arts and Blog page. And the Games page too. So... yeah. I'm probably going to stay away from YouTube for now and just cut off the negativity from it... Yeah, I think I need to stay away from it and just focus on surfing the web and finding interesting websites both in Neocities and other independent websites. Not only that, I could also focus on more of my creative hobbies without any distractions at all. Yeah, that's all I have to say. See ya around!
